Stephen Gill is the Independent Candidate for State Senate for Plymouth and Norfolk District, comprised of the Towns of Cohasset, Duxbury, Hingham, Hull, Marshfield, Norwell, Scituate and Weymouth.

Stephen is a Fiscal Conservative and Social Moderate who began his candidacy for State Senate during a grass-roots effort to secure his place on the ballot for the General Election on November 6, 2018.

The youngest of nine siblings, Stephen’s family is from Hingham and he grew up in Hull. Stephen now lives in Marshfield where his two daughters have attended Marshfield public schools.

Stephen is an attorney and veteran who has served in combat zones in Kuwait and Afghanistan. He also has served active duty tours in Central and South America, Europe, Africa, and onboard U.S. Navy Warships on the high seas.

Last year, Stephen retired at the rank of Lieutenant Commander from Judge Advocate General’s (JAG) Corps of the U.S. Navy and Navy Reserve.  He has prosecuted terrorists on foreign shores so folks here at home can enjoy their everyday civic activities. He also is a former Special Assistant United States Attorney who has prosecuted criminal defendants in federal court.

09aDuring the past 8 years, Stephen has volunteered to perform military funeral honors details for our deceased veterans across the South Shore and throughout Massachusetts.

10Even though Stephen has served all around the world, he has maintained deep roots on the South Shore.  In addition to his military service, he has operated his own small law firm in Scituate.

A former Weymouth home owner, Stephen’s name appears on the town’s veterans memorial brick walkway alongside that of his father, a WWII veteran.  He has many relatives in Weymouth, Hingham, Hull, Cohasset, Scituate, and Marshfield.

Stephen proved his ability to work with Republican and Democratic legislators and municipal leaders while serving as Deputy Secretary and General Counsel for the Massachusetts Department of Veterans’ Services under Governor Deval Patrick’s administration.

The South Shore needs a State Senator who will be an independent voice for our district and will serve the interests of our residents, not political parties.19Having previously served in our State government, Stephen understands the ins and outs of Beacon Hill.

As a life-long resident of the South Shore, he understands the needs of our district. As a Navy veteran, an attorney, a former senior-level state officer, and a small business owner, Stephen knows how to work with others to get the job done right.007.jpgIf you want our next Senator to represent the interests of The People, not the interests of political parties, then vote for Independent candidate Stephen Gill on November 6, 2018.
